I'm a columnist for a local magazine down in South Florida. I've always had a strong desire to write for chidren and teens but never took the time to focus on that audience. Through encouragement from friends and family I have finally started to pursue my dream of being an author of Children's and YA fiction. I enrolled with The Institute of Children's Literature and am really enjoying the course. I'm also trying to learn all I can about the business side of the industry. I dabble with poetry as well.
I'm a mom to 3 kids ages 10,12 an 15. The kids sure do keep me on my toes and in the car chauffering to and from school and extracurricular activities.
I look forward to meeting other writers, readers and parents through the live journal communities. |
